soft coated glass

Glass Systems Ltd has acknowledged that at some stage in the future Building Regulations will change again – Document L will be revised, further reducing U-Values, as the government continues to honour its commitment to the “ Kyoto Agreement”

With this in mind, and the already growing demand for an even higher specification of unit from all sectors of the industry, coupled with the fact that existing customers in the Aluminium sector of the industry, have an existing requirement for soft coats, we are pleased to announce that from January 2004 we started producing a Soft coat sealed unit incorporating Glaverbels ` Planibel Top N.

The Lisec cutting table's edge deletion facility, the Bystronic lines` ability to treat soft coated glass as normal mean that our lead time for soft coats is the same as for normal units.

Initially the product is only available in annealed or laminated, but one of the reasons for choosing Glaverbel is that their soft coat is one of the few that has a toughenable version – Planibel Top NT – we will be offering this later this year.

T he decision to add this soft coat product to our already comprehensive range of sealed units, will maintain Glass Systems Ltd as one of the leaders in the sealed unit industry.

Glass Systems have established their prominence in the marketplace through supplying quality products, at competitive prices and with an unparalleled attention to service.
